A Photographer's Journey with Women and War
Kathryn Chase Bryer, Director, is the Associate Artistic Director at Imagination Stage where she has directed over 30 shows in the last 22 years, including Big Friendly Giant (recipient of 11 Helen Hayes nominations for 2014) and Peter Pan (awarded three DC Theatre Awards for 2013). She has helped develop new scripts such as George and Martha: Tons of Fun by Joan Cushing, Looking for Roberta Clemente (voted “Favorite Family Production 2008” by DC Theatre Scene) by Karen Zacarias, music by Deborah Wicks La Puma; and The Dancing Princesses (voted co-winner for “Favorite Family Production 2010” by DC Theatre Scene) by Allison Currin and Chris Youstra. She has directed for the Source Theatre Festival 10 min. play festival and served as a directing mentor. In 2014, Bryer directed Scapin for Constellation Theatre Company, and in January, 2015, she directed Mage Nights of the Eternal Light, an MFA Playwrighting Project at Catholic University. She directed the inaugural production of Breast in Show, a musical about breast cancer by Lisa Hayes with music by Joan Cushing, and a new production of the show for the 2014 Capital Fringe Festival.
Theodore L. Manekin, Technical Designer and Co-producer, has produced on and off Broadway, and produced and designed throughout the United States. For over 35 years, he has done nearly everything in theatre. Except acting; never acting. He is also a fundraising consultant for non-profit organizations, specializing in Public Radio and the arts.
